What is Artemis Eternal?
Artemis Eternal is a professional sci-fi fantasy short intended for film festivals and traveling screenings. The film is the premier crowd-funded, professionally-led, studio-quality film with absolutely no studio intervention, and the way production is approached tackles issues of media consolidation, independence and a lack of diversity in cinema as well as eliminating the middle-man and connecting artist to audience in a direct, meaningful way. The project has tremendous vender and community support and is funded independently by you via the award-winning web experience, www.ArtemisEternal.com.

  Is the film live-action?
Yes.

Cool. So how do I get one of those gold or silver twinkly bits with my name and link?
That's easy: Become a Wingman by keeping us moving. Those who have contributed $100 or more fly the banner of the silver Aurum. Those who have contributed thousands of dollars maneuver under the shield of the golden Aurum.

And that, my friend, is how we roll.

I contributed $25 before and now I want to contribute another $75: Will that make me a Wingman?
Yes. On the order form there is a field for instructions and we’d appreciate your calling our attention to the fact that your total contribution is $100. That space is also where you can include the link to your blog, if applicable.

How much can I contribute in order to have my name credited in the film?
A contribution of $25 or more will earn you a credit in the film. (All values are in US dollars.)

  Can I contribute any amount?
Yes. You can set your own amount by clicking the "Keep us moving!" arrow.

What are some reasons why I might want to be involved?
To support art and artists free from Hollywood politics, to work together to democratize media tyranny, to see your name in the credits of a film and know it means something… . You know, standard reasons for doing anything altruistic and cool, really: Your ethos, ego or some healthy combination therein. There are also the possibilities that new film/business models present, a desire to know more about the process and take advantage of the knowledge and experience we have to share, finding new avenues for story to be made and distributed against the landscape of media conglomerates, kicking down doors, helping create something meaningful and sharing the feeling of being a part of something larger than yourself; all of which you make possible for the price of a DVD (or way, way less!).

It's been a challenging journey for us to get here and we are incredibly proud to have you walking alongside us.

Do you have anything to do with the movie studios or the studio system?
Nope.

  Where does my money go?
To all things Artemis Eternal. Maybe you're paying the Gaffer, purchasing the paint the Scenic needs to do her job, purchasing the actual film stock or the final print shown in the theater where the film is screened… or enabling something seemingly boring like paperwork for taxes or payroll, or something more recognizable like paying the actors. Over the course of the project we hope you'll come to understand how important each of these contributions are.

  Are film donations tax deductible?
The short answer is no. The long answer is that we are not accountants and cannot advise you on what to do with your money. We therefore encourage you to review your finances with an accounting professional.

Is there a chance that the movie won't be made?
Sure. There is always that chance with any endeavor. That is up to us; "us" meaning you and I. We're in a good place: Much of the film has already been constructed or paid out (wardrobe, props, deposits, pay-or-play agreements), but now we need to reach more people, build our community and finish. To face the future as finishers requires all of us to pull our weight and take care of one another right now, in true Wingman fashion. We have come to realize that that is what matters most about our approach to the film.

How can my film/sci-fi/other community site become an Artemis Eternal ally?
We do indeed have cross-promotional opportunities and would love to hear from you.

I/my company would like to donate service support or money to Artemis Eternal. How can I tell if we can help?
Please inquire direct. You'd be surprised at the things you could donate. Lumber… nails… film stock… airfare… coffee… hard dollars… web traffic… it's a wide list. We only work with like-minded venders so between current corp. support and the audience involved you'll be in good company.

Are you guys on any social networking sites?
Yes. Come hang out with our group on Facebook by searching "Artemis Eternal." (Thanks to Wingman Ryan for starting this group!) You can also find us on YouTube, MySpace, Twitter and more. Visit the Wingman Briefing Room for links.

  How else can I help?
Recommend this site to your friends, contribute by including our banners in your ad spaces, blog us, link us up, use your talents to go wild on social networking sites… The online community side of Artemis Eternal is about using our existing abilities. If you think about it, all this time you've spent on the Internets has geared you up with a range of sweet skills. So don't sell yourself short!: You can help. The Facebook group is a great place to share more ideas and work together.

How can I contact the production?
Visit the contact page.

My name should be on the map, film credits and/or donator list, and it isn't there. What's up with that?
Please e-mail us what changes should be made and thank you very much for your eagle eyes. Also note that we update the website weekly (Monday) so changes do not appear immediately.

Do you know what festivals you will play at?
Festivals are competitive and we can't know where we will play until we submit and are accepted. (There are "Festival Submissions" and "Screenings" sections on the map if you scroll ahead.) Once we know where we are showing, we will post the list and keep you updated in hopes that you'll come out to meet us!

Is it possible that you could come screen the film near me?
Yes. We'll explore this with you when we get to the "Screenings" stage and will definitely want to hear your ideas. The point is to really get out and show the film, which gives Jess & co. the opportunity to meet people.

Hey, I e-mailed you, why didn't you e-mail me back?
The volume of correspondence that we receive outstrips our ability to answer every e-mail personally, however your letters are very welcome and all mail is reviewed by the owner of the address to which it is sent. Inquiries that warrant response will receive a reply. Thank you for understanding that our primary focus is the film, especially when we are shooting and especially where Jess' time is concerned. Our philosophy is that the best way to commune with an artist is via the art.

  Are you casting?
Casting is complete. We cast via Breakdown Services, a company that works directly with theatrical agents and managers who represent professional actors. Please do not send us your headshot or other acting materials.

  Are you crewing up?
You can see when we are hiring some key positions via the map. Feel free to e-mail us a PDF of your resume and references in regards to crew positions. Please include your resume in the text of the mail as well. We are looking for like-minded, experienced, highly-skilled professionals. Previous work in narrative film is required as is at least five years of professional experience in the position for which you are applying.

Who runs the Artemis Eternal Dot Com web experience?
This website was concepted and created by Jessica Mae Stover and Greg Martin with additional consulting by Andrew S. Allen. Basically, the site facilitation and creative consists of Greg and Jess wearing more hats than they have the closet space for, and the site runs off of your energy (just as the film does). We hope you have come to understand how important you are, and want to thank everyone across the board (and across platforms) who is involved in this project.

This website is a sub-site of Jessica Stover Dot Com (JSDC).

What are you going to do after Artemis Eternal?
Next we plan to explore a version of this business model for feature film and distribution. It's an innovative and ambitious evolution of the current idea that's going to include some interesting business maneuvers that are all about putting the ball in our court for a change. First things first, however: First we succeed on this story-film, then we evolve the idea. We need you now.

Long term we intend to keep this website available as a resource, a monument to those who contributed and a rad place for rad people to hang out and see rad stuff.
